If you want to go to college but need some financial assistance in getting there, you may be eligible for a student grant

The Student Grant Program provides funds to cover registration fees and assist with travel and accommodation expenses for full-time students attending accredited institutions who wish to attend conferences and workshops. Please note that relies on sponsorship to fund student grants, and funding is strictly limited. We do not guarantee assistance to speakers or participants, and student grants rarely fund complete travel needs.

Educational Grant

The main financial support available for eligible students attending full-time further and higher education courses is the student grant, which may include a maintenance grant and/or a fee grant, depending on eligibility.

The means-tested Student Grant Scheme is administered by the local authorities, Education and Training Boards (ETBs) and Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) on behalf of the Department.

Student Maintenance Grant

• The student maintenance grant contributes to a student's living costs while they are at college. Grants are means tested based on your parents' income, and if you work (legally and paying tax) during the summer or while studying, this income will also be counted when you apply for a grant This means that how much you receive depends on this income. You cannot get a maintenance grant if you are on a back to Education allowance or VTOS allowance You are eligible if you're applying for a full time course and are a resident of particular country. You must also have been living in the country , the EU, EEA or Switzerland for the past three out of five years.
